A Pie DELIVERED to your Seattle address on Saturday, 2/6 – to enjoy during the SHOW! (must donate by noon on Friday, 2/5)!!!
First come, first pick, just like in the traditional DESSERT DASH!
If you like chocolate, you’re gonna love “Meet Your Dream Chocolate Cream Pie”, adapted from “Sugar, Butter, Flour: The Waitress Pie Book”. We start with a chocolate cookie crumb crust (with just the right amount of ancho chile powder and ground red pepper for a little zing), add a layer of tasty apricot preserves, pour in some smooth, rich Ghirardelli chocolate custard, then top it off with a luscious layer of chocolate whipped cream. You won’t be able to stop with just one slice.
We’ve taken life’s lemons and made “Inauguration Elation Lemon Curd Pie”! We start with a buttery, flaky crust, fill it with a delightfully tart yet sweet creamy lemon curd, and top it with whipped cream dollops and dehydrated lemon slices. Don’t know what to do with those slices when you’re done? Just rinse them off and put them in your glass of water or cup of hot tea (or your vodka soda while you’re toasting the fabulous performing arts at Ingraham!).
Is it breakfast for dessert? Or dessert for breakfast? “Deep Dish Blueberry Bacon Pie” is another pie adapted from “Sugar, Butter, Flour: The Waitress Pie Book”. Imagine every bite of this pie chock full of the taste of blueberry pancakes, maple syrup, oatmeal, and bacon. Pops of ginger and a subtle hint of cardamom top off this luscious treat. Consider this pie an early Valentine’s Day present to yourself. After all, nothing says “I love you” more than bacon!
Meyer Lemon Tart: Bright & smooth – and perfect for the season! Meyer lemon custard fills a pâté sucrée (sweet crust) shell. Finished with chantilly cream. (Can be made GF, and with/without an almond crust.)
Chocolate Truffle Tart: Frangelico-spiked ganache poured over toasted hazelnuts, all in a pâté sucrée (sweet crust). Edged with espresso cream. (Can be made GF.)
Orange & Polenta Cake: Simple yet satisfying Italian torta, naturally gluten free, orange-cardamom syrup moistens a delicate polenta-almond cake. A side of diplomat cream provided. (Contains nuts.)
